When I designed this piece, I wanted the portrait to feel quiet, timeless, and deeply intentional. The side profile was chosen to create a sense of reflection and dignity, while the circular frame and feather-inspired elements were added to echo Native heritage and a lasting connection to memory. The red accent was placed as a visual focal point - not to overwhelm the design, but to bring emotional weight and meaning to the composition.
The contrast between the deep black background and the warm ivory silhouette was carefully balanced to make the artwork feel solemn yet powerful. For me, this piece is about creating a presence that remains even in silence - a design meant to be worn as a story, not just seen as a graphic.
