Your cap carries an embroidered heritage design — stitched thread that will not crack, peel, or fade the way a print can. A little care keeps it at its best.
Hand wash cold with a mild detergent, or spot clean for everyday freshness. Rinse gently and air dry. Reshape the crown while still damp so it holds its form.
Avoid the dryer — sustained heat can warp the pre-curved visor. Do not iron directly over the embroidery. This cap is made to order, embroidered just for you, and built to be worn for years.

All Americanista caps are embroidered to order — each one stitched specifically for you. Because of this, we are unable to accept returns for change of mind. If your cap arrives with a flaw or an error on our part, please send us a clear photo within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it. If you receive an unworn cap and need a size adjustment, exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery. A Yupoong 6245CM Classic Dad Cap. Soft 100% cotton twill in an unstructured, low-profile 6-panel cut, with a pre-curved visor and six stitched eyelets. The adjustable strap and antique buckle dial in a just-right fit — a cap made to be worn in and loved for years. The heritage design is rendered in embroidery: real thread, stitched into the fabric, not a print or transfer.

Every design is created in partnership with Native artists as a commemorative tribute — not a mass-market graphic. The finished artwork is then embroidered directly into the cap, rendered in thread as a mark of permanence and care.

Each cap is embroidered to order in approximately 1–2 business days, then shipped from the U.S. with tracking. Most orders within the United States arrive within about a week of shipping. You will receive a tracking link once your order leaves our facility.

Will the design fade or crack?
No — and that is one of the advantages of embroidery. Because the design is stitched in thread rather than applied as a print, it does not crack, peel, or fade with washing. The threads are locked into the fabric and meant to outlast the cap itself.
To keep your cap looking its best: spot clean when possible, or hand wash cold with mild detergent. Air dry and reshape the crown while damp. Skip the dryer — heat can distort the visor's curve. Do not iron directly over the embroidery.
